​What happens during a Medical Micro-needling (CIT) treatment?

There is so much than just simply rolling needles across your skin. Precision, technique and timing are what makes our treatments stand out above all others. Knowing the correct depths to trigger the specific growth factors (fibroblast) for collagen-building is really important when it comes to Collagen Induction Therapy.  Deeper does not automatically equal better when you understand how collagen is formed and the processes that your skin goes through in the days after clinical treatment.

​Medical micro-needling is a procedure designed to enhance & improve skin complexion via activation of the skin's natural regenerative processes which stimulates collagen synthesis.  Very tiny needles are used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically causing a localized and controlled wound without substantially affecting the structure of the epidermis. ​How frequent & how many treatments are required?

Frequency and number along with depth, ingredients and timing will all vary depending on your skin condition, rate of the cellular lifecycle and desired outcome. In general, we recommend a course of 3 or 4 treatments (maximum 6 per year) to increase cellular rejuvenation. Once we have achieved your desired results we may recommend a maintenance treatment program of 1 or 2 treatments per year to help maintain your results.

 

By using our specialised products, it will enhance these results.  Our skincare range of products contains no preservatives, fragrances, no emulsifiers - which products containing these can potentially interfere with the skin’s ability to apply the active ingredients.

We require you to book a consultation in which we will discuss all medical conditions, suitability for treatment, the desired outcome and also get you started with your prepping period prior to starting your CIT Treatments.
