At Beautyworx Medispa our therapists know how and when to utilize Collagen Induction Therapy techniques to re-program the function of your skin and to create a healthier, firmer, smoother textured skin. You can now refresh and refine your skin from within without damaging or impairing the epidermal barrier (outermost layer of the skin).
What happens during a Medical Micro-needling (CIT) treatment?
There is so much than just simply rolling needles across your skin. Precision, technique and timing are what makes our treatments stand out above all others. Knowing the correct depths to trigger the specific growth factors (fibroblast) for collagen-building is really important when it comes to Collagen Induction Therapy. Deeper does not automatically equal better when you understand how collagen is formed and the processes that your skin goes through in the days after clinical treatment.

Medical micro-needling is a procedure designed to enhance & improve skin complexion via activation of the skin's natural regenerative processes which stimulates collagen synthesis. Very tiny needles are used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically causing a localized and controlled wound without substantially affecting the structure of the epidermis. The creation of controlled micro channels in the skin instigates the regeneration of skin cells via a natural process of healing. Awakening the fibroblast that lies within the deeper layers of the skin, healthy collagen is naturally produced.

The skin has the natural ability to heal itself. Anyone who has cut or grazed themselves would have seen this process. This is a result of the skin generating, or more accurately, regenerating the collagen and elastin cells which are the building blocks of healthy skin.

The gentle stimulus provided by medical micro-needling is considered far more effective than many other more invasive and expensive skincare treatments. It is a quick & easy technique with little downtime. After a course of treatments, skin structure is visibly revitalized, rejuvenated, replenished and regenerated.

What type of condition can be treated?
Because skin needling encourages inbuilt healing
mechanisms, and with the right blend of ingredients
and when timed perfectly for your skin, we can now:
-
Renew your skin by increasing your skins natural collagen formation
-
Reduce pore size and improve your skin’s texture
-
Improve uneven skin tone (pigmentation & sun damage)
-
Minimize scars including acne scars
-
Strengthen the internal structures of your skin
-
Anti-aging by reducing fine lines and wrinkles

As every skin is unique, so is our approach to dermal needling and the program we create, is unique to you.

How frequent & how many treatments are required?
Frequency and number along with depth, ingredients and timing will all vary depending on your skin condition, rate of the cellular lifecycle and desired outcome. In general, we recommend a course of 3 or 4 treatments (maximum 6 per year) to increase cellular rejuvenation. Once we have achieved your desired results we may recommend a maintenance treatment program of 1 or 2 treatments per year to help maintain your results.
By using our specialised products, it will enhance these results. Our skincare range of products contains no preservatives, fragrances, no emulsifiers - which products containing these can potentially interfere with the skin’s ability to apply the active ingredients.
Beautyworx Medispa offers in-salon treatments and home rolling devices, to allow you to continue to improve your results in the comfort of your own home. We will supply you with a complete treatment protocol, products and we’ll guide you every step of the way to get you spectacular

We do follow a strict pre-requisite protocol, as this enables us to achieve the best results for your skin.
